Sucks to be me right now...

I haven't posted in forever, I'm such a slacker. It's good to be consistent with something. :-) I've been sick for like a month now & am so ready just to feel normal again. It started with the crappy flu which one of my lovely nieces or nephews gave me & about a month later i have a sinus infection & bronchitus which also sucks. Scott made me go to the minor ER over the weekend & they gave me lots & lots of good drugs, which doesn't suck but I'm having the strangest dreams...

Work has been great as I received a bit of a raise & an amazing review which isn't bad for 7 months with them. We went through a re-alignment in our office which sucked for my previous director but now I report directly to our V.P. of marketing which is where i want to go anyway so ultimatley that will be good.

Trying to decide what to do for the year as I really, really, really want to go to Europe this year & see the Police when they tour. i'm such a concert girl & think it would be fun. The mom is turning 65 this year so we're all meeting in New York over the 4th of July weekend to celebrate her & her b-day, which should be fun. Other than not, no plans but need some ideas. We should try & plan some weekend friends trips, you know who you are as there aren't very many people I can spend that much time with but we should plan it & do it. :-)

Happy Birthday....

Shameless plug... It is now the 8th so the birthday begins...

Can you tell that I'm the youngest child in my family?!?

Maybe I do hate the French...

My counterpart happens to be on vacation this week while I've been dealing with 4 of his clients while he lounges on a beach in Mexico. I'm totally fine with that aspect as he'll be doing the same for me sometime next year. What sucks? His clients suck as he has the French-Canadians, the normal French, the Irish guys that I'm loving as nothing is better than an Irish accent. In addition to this, the people from Israel, who are some frickin angry people but I guess i would be too if I lived in a war zone everyday.

I'm really ok with everyone but the French & French-Canadians, who are making me crazy. I'm the person who likes everyone & if I don't like you it's because your satan or one of his spawns. I try to find something positive about everyone, regardless. This is who I am but I'm ready to throw these people under a bus... They are rude & condescending... I'm beginning to understand why people hate the French...

Run Fast... Run Far...

Wow, it's been forever & a day since I've posted anything on here. Nothing excited going on... Working Monday - Thursday is great but getting my arse out of bed @ 5:30 - 5:45 in the morning sucks more than anything I can think of. My hours are 7-5:30 so I'm pretty much worthless Sunday - Wednesday. Some how, I can find boundless energy Thursday evening though. Funny how that works... You would think I'm 12 & it's the beginning of the weekend.

I'm looking for a new car & have been test driving various cars & suvs for the last two weeks so much that I'm almost really over it. So far, I'm loving the new Maxima, Altima & the Acura TXS. Not sure what I will end up getting yet...

Thanks to my awesome friend, Scott, we went to the, She Wants Revenge Show & they were amazing. Loving them right now & it totally helps that the lead singer, Justin is so freakin hot! He's a beautiful men as the mens go. Love his voice too. Right now, I'm loving both Snow Patrol & She Wants Revenge.

I've lost about 20 pounds so far & have so much more to go but I'm taking suggestions for gifts to give to myself as rewards.

The entire fam was in town a few weeks ago & it was soooo much fun. I know this sounds silly but it totally reminded me of how much I miss them & how much it sucks that we're so spread out. My mom has a child in at least 3 different time zones. Mom may be moving to Tulsa, which would be cool.

If you live here, check out the Centennial Celebrations going on... Very cool stuff scheduled so check it out.

That's really all the news right now...

Geek Post....

This has been a crazy week at work but I have to admit that's one thing I love about my job. The best thing in the world is that it's Thursday & it's the weekend for me now!

Moving right along, I'm really psyched that, "Fragile Things", by Neil Gaiman will be in stores next Tuesday, the 26th. This is where I totally geek out because I'm a huge fan & love, love, love everything he's ever done, be it grahic novel or what. I love the idea of Morpheus, Death & the rest of the endless creatures. Very very cool so check it out!

Catching a clue...

Nothing much to report these days. My work schedule is monday - thursday from 7:00 *5:30 & I so haven't settled into getting up at the butt crack of dawn. I'm loving my 3 day weekends but hating the other days of the week. I've finally starting to settle into the new job & I'm happy to report that things are still going really well. My director is a woman which I so dreaded until I actually started working for her because she's so not the typical female. I'm not hating on my kind or anything, it's just every other woman I've ever worked for has been a complete psycho & a freak so it's a nice change of pace.

The only other thing I've been really excited about is that I'm still losing weight, actually my goal is just to be much healthier & just have a lifestyle change. Ya know how we all cling onto a favorite pair of jeans because one day, we're going to get back into them? I unfortunatley, have several in various sizes & the first goal has been met so yeah for me.

In the words of one of the most beautiful men ever, Mathew M. other than that, I'm just livin.

Out of the dark ages...

I am so not a techno-savy geek girl in any way shape or form. I've never really expressed an interest in games, computers, pda's or anyt other electronic toy, with exception to when MP3 players first came out. I'm obsessed with music as it's one of the things in life that I love, love, love!

I have come out of the dark ages as I recently purchased both an IPOD & an IMAC. Dead Bunny is so going to have to come over my house & help the me as I'm technically challenged. I'm super excited that I will finally be getting rid of the computer that I have used for literally the last 8 or 9 years. What's may be worse is that my wallpaper hasn't changed in at least 6 or 7 years. It's still a random graphic that I found that someone made as an homage to Neil Gaiman. (Ok, I'm a little geeky).

In the past month, I've really started to enjoy my job & the people that I work with. As much as my ass has bitched about working for the man, it's actually really nice to be employed by the corporate machine again. I'm happy that I don't have to stress about whether or not my paycheck will clear or not & so much other crap that is no longer in my life...

Hopefully, I'm going to start taking 2 classes this semester to start working on my masters. I say hopefully because it's been an ordeal or whether or not I'm too late for this semester & wheter or not my company will pay for it now or make me wait another 6 months. I have enough student loan debt & so do not want anymore. I feel like that by the time I have kids ready for college my loans will be paid off. (Keep in mind that I don't have any).

Hopefully, with new stuff I will be motivated to update more & keep in touch w/friends & family as i feel the funk is moving on.
